There is
no written examination for this recruitment. The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Based on normalised marks obtained in the qualifying examination (BE/B.Tech/PG degree marks). NCC 'C' Certificate holders (Naval Wing) may get 5% relaxation in cut-off marks for SSB shortlisting.
- SSB Interview (Services Selection Board): Shortlisted candidates are called for a 5-day SSB Interview at designated SSB centres. This tests Officer-Like Qualities (OLQs) through psychological tests, group tasks, and interviews.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by SSB undergo a medical fitness examination.
