1. UPSSSC PET-2025 Score Card (Mandatory): You must have appeared in UPSSSC PET-2025 and hold a valid, non-zero normalized PET-2025 Score Card issued by UPSSSC. Candidates with zero or negative PET scores are NOT eligible. The application is submitted by logging in through PET-2025 Registration Number.
2. Educational Qualification: Graduation (Bachelor's Degree) from any recognized university, as per UP Home Guards Service Rules 1982, Part-4, Rule-8 for non-departmental/civilian candidates.
3. Age Limit: Must be between 21 and 40 years as on 01 January 2026 (with relaxation for reserved categories).

Desirable Qualifications (Preferential — Rule-9): Preference in merit tie-breaking will be given to candidates who: (a) served in a Territorial Army for a minimum of 2 years, OR (b) hold an NCC 'B' Certificate, OR (c) have continuously worked in the Home Guards organization for a minimum of 3 years.

2. On the homepage, go to the Live Advertisement section and click on the Advt. No. 10-Exam/2026 link
3. Click on "Apply Online" and log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number / email ID
4. Verify your auto-filled personal details (Name, Father's Name, Category, Date of Birth, etc.) fetched from the PET-2025 database
5. Select the desired post(s) — Platoon Commander and/or Block Organizer — and fill in your educational qualification details
6. Your photograph and signature from the PET-2025 registration will be auto-populated — verify these
7. Pay the prescribed online processing fee of ₹25/- via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI / SBI e-Challan
8. Review the completed form carefully, submit it, and download/print the final application for future reference

⚠️ Only PET-2025 registered candidates can log in and apply. There is no separate registration process for this Main Exam application.

Category-wise distribution (UR/OBC/EWS/SC/ST) and horizontal reservation details (3% for PwBD, women, ex-servicemen, freedom fighters' dependents, and outstanding sportspersons) are as per UP Government reservation rules — refer to the official notification PDF from upsssc.gov.in.

Payment is accepted online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI / SBI e-Challan only. Fee once paid is non-refundable. Candidates from all categories — including Freedom Fighters' Dependents, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Divyangjan (PwBD), and Outstanding Sportspersons — pay ₹25/- as per their original category.

Only the birth date mentioned in the High School (Class 10) or equivalent certificate will be considered valid for age calculation. Candidates must carry the original High School certificate at the time of Document Verification.

Chest measurement is applicable only for male candidates. PMT is qualifying in nature — no marks are awarded. Candidates who do not meet the physical standards are disqualified from the final merit list. Always verify exact standards from the official notification PDF at upsssc.gov.in.

⚠️ PET is pass/fail only — no marks are added to the final merit. Candidates who fail to complete the running test within the time limit will be disqualified. Start physical preparation well in advance of the exam schedule.

1. Stage 1 — PET-2025 Score Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Written Exam based on their normalized UPSSSC PET-2025 scores. Candidates with zero or negative PET scores are excluded. Up to a specified number of times the vacancies are shortlisted including all tied candidates at the cut-off mark.
2. Stage 2 — Main Written Examination (Objective MCQ): 100 questions for 100 marks in 2 hours. Each correct answer: +1 mark. Wrong answer: −¼ mark (negative marking). Subjects: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Computer Knowledge, and Uttar Pradesh-specific GK.
3. Stage 3 — Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Height and chest measurement verification (qualifying) followed by running test (qualifying). Both are pass/fail stages with no marks added to final merit.
4. Stage 4 — Document Verification & Final Merit List: Original certificates verified. Final merit list is prepared solely based on Main Written Exam marks. PMT and PET are mandatory qualifying gates only.

⚠️ The entire final merit is based on Written Exam performance only. Physical tests (PMT & PET) carry zero marks but are mandatory to pass for final appointment.

• Uttar Pradesh General Knowledge — History, Geography, Culture, Economy, Government Schemes, Polity
• General Hindi (Grammar & Comprehension — as applicable)

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), Medical Allowances, and other benefits as applicable under Uttar Pradesh Government service rules.

UPSSSC PET-2025 Score Card is the gateway to all UPSSSC Main Examinations in the 2025-26 cycle, including this one. There is no other route to apply. If you did not appear in PET-2025, you will need to wait for the next PET cycle to become eligible for future UPSSSC Main Exams.

• The EWS certificate must be for Financial Year 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27
• It must be issued between 01 April 2026 and 06 July 2026 (the application closing date)
• The certificate must be issued by the competent authority as per UP Government rules
• An EWS certificate issued before 01 April 2026 will NOT be accepted

⚠️ EWS candidates who do not have a valid FY 2025-26 EWS certificate must obtain one before the last date of application (06 July 2026). A certificate for a previous financial year will not be considered valid for this recruitment.

• In the post selection step, choose both posts (if eligible for both)
• Pay only one processing fee of ₹25/- (applicable per application submission)
• A single application covers both post preferences

However, candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age, physical standard) for each post they apply for. Verify the official notification for any post-specific restrictions before selecting both posts.

• Home Guards Service Certificate (if claiming age relaxation): Proof of minimum 3 years continuous unpaid Home Guard service
• UP Govt. Employee NOC (if currently employed in UP Government service)

• Passport-size photographs (as specified in the call letter)
